The ambitious goal of The Laguna 500 Arts Project is to transform 500 vacant retail storefronts into temporary artist studios and pop up galleries until permanent businesses move in. We believe breathing new life into these forgotten spaces will lower the barriers of entry for both the artist and the viewer, and inspire a deeper appreciation of the arts for all.

The Laguna 500 is very proud to present The Muldoon Elder Retrospective: Painting, drawings, and stories. This collection of work spans 60+ years and is the first time in nearly 50+ years any of his works have been made available for purchase.
"Muldoon Elder is one of my absolutely favorite, though relatively unknown San Francisco artist. His brilliant and innovative paintings and drawings frankly put the works of many more recognized artists to abysmal shame. I'm amazed and also impressed he has been content and even pleased to remain in the relative shadows of our known art world."_ Henry Hopkins, Director, SF MoMA 1974-86
